Subject: Re: [Devics-spectrum] Our Kendall's Latest Update.Hi all
I am finally off oxygen as of sat. Yesterday I was moved from the hospital to a transitional care facility. Hopefully I can regain some strength. Thanks for all the prayers I went from not being able to breathe to my lungs being clear. Praise God' that was scary. So, I don't know if I will go back on the cellcept as Dr. Cree wanted to switch me to Gilenya a secondary progressive MS drug which should help with slowing the nerve degeneration.
Just sharing as we all contine to learn from each other plus there is no other support like what we get from our group.I love you my NMO family!
Kendall

I agree Erin … because I grew up in Estes Park. RMNP was our, “stomping” ground for many years. I even worked at the store on top of Trail Ridge road one high school summer – great job! Everyone should experience the park and all it has to offer – absolutely beautiful!!

Posted: 30 Aug 2011 08:28 PM PDT Rocky Mountain National Park is a place you need to visit if you ever come to Colorado. It is located about an hour north west of Denver in a town called Estes Park. Eric and I went there this past July we try to go at least once a year. It is just amazing all the animals you can see, elk is the most popular animal throughout the park they are every where you turn. |

Hello to all,
We are moving along with the GJCF NMO Patient Liaison Network after a brief hiatus due to the November Conference and Summit meetings in January and March. We are drafting up forms, new apparel, ideas for fundraising events and much more for the GJCF NMO Ambassador Packet.
The Foundation’s official color for NMO is Green. It has always symbolized to us a vision of growth which is why it has been included in our logo, website and spectrum. The actual RGB colors are as follows but any shade of green will be just fine as well.

G: 180
B: 63
Stay tuned,
Dan

The 2011 NMO Patient Day is only six months away. We are currently in the process of planning the agenda and would love to have your ideas.
If you have seen a presentation at a conference in the past that really inspired you with a wealth of information, I would love to hear about it. All ideas are welcome and greatly appreciated.
Please either respond to this post or e-mail me directly at, dbehne@allggf.org.
All the Best,
Dan

Hello to all,
We received a call from a nice woman today who is experiencing vision problems and cannot join spectrum. She will like to talk with someone within the NMO community and asked about a support group. Her area code is 618 (Illinois I believe). If someone will like to talk with her, I will contact her and ask her if it is ok to share her contact information with you.
This is a great opportunity for me to talk about my plans for the support network. This is not to be confused with the wonderful support network that Tim and Gracie started online with Devic’s Support. I will like to start a map, similar to “Connect the Docs” that will include volunteers throughout the country. Everyone on the map will need to volunteer their time and be willing to list their name, phone # and e-mail on the map. This is similar to what Sandy Siegel is doing at the TMA. These people can work with others in the area (NMO supporters, TMA, MSS) to start fundraisers, run/walk events, etc. The events and time allocation will be solely up to you. Caregiver’s are more than welcome to help as well. The Foundation will send these people a small box of GJCF and NMO items to hand out. We can even create a couple of banners that can be passed around from event to event throughout the country.
Please contact me if you will like to participate. As mentioned in our post yesterday, “Ten people who speak make more noise than ten thousand who are silent.” -Napoleon Bonaparte.
This is a large undertaking, so please bear with us while we get it started and implemented.
All the Best,
Dan
