Hi Sue,

My name is Erin, my husband and I are trying to get pregnant as we speak. I have been diagnosed since 2009 all my doctors said it was fine for me to have children as long as they follow me very closely. I have not had Rituxan for a year now but I am on a low dosage of predisone every day, and any new symptom that pops up I need to notify the doctors right away. I got the clear to get pregnant in September 2010, I slowly tapered off my every day medications and then I had to have my Cd 19 &20 checked every month to see what my levels where at. I am doing fine so far, I only had to do a steroid infusion in March of this year cause my Cd 19&20 levels jumped really high. Knocking on wood my levels have dropped down and I am doing fine:) Let me know if you have any other questions I have researched this topic a lot and have spoken 2 of the top doctors that treat NMO about this topic:)

Sincerely,
Erin Miller

I was just wondering how many of you had children after you were diagnosed

with NMO.  If wo were you advised not to have child?

thanks,

Lisa66

NMO patient retreat in Colorado

May 16, 2011 by Erin   Comments (0)

Hi NMO Family,

Late last year, Eric and I had put out a message to the NMO community to gauge the interest of a possible NMO Fun Event that we would host here in Colorado. Thank you to everyone for the positive and tremendous response.

Due to limited timing and additional projects we have unfortunately decided to delay this event for another year. Also, most of the vendors I need to approach are not yet open until the summer season. My NMO Family has given so much to me so it is of the utmost importance that I this event gets the attention it deserves.

You can keep track of our progression (and other inspiring adventures) at www.nmodiaries.com
