Hi Anita, the text box for writing your response is at the very end and bottom of the post you're reading, if you're logged in to the group. You just might not be scrolling all the way to the bottom of the page.

We're working to improve the way email responses are matched to posts. At present, Spectrum looks for the users' email programs to return some information about the posts to which they are replying (Technically, Spectrum looks for the message ID of the original post.) It turns out that the information Spectrum needs is returned by some but not all email programs.

At present, if Spectrum can't find the message ID of the original post, it treats the reply as a new post. We considering an alternative that will match replies to posts when they have the same subject line.

I'll also note that  HTML markup is displaying in some posts....that's a side effect of code that helps ensure site security.  I'm revising that code to clean up the display of these replies without compromising site security.

Steve, thank you! Your effort and the entire team's effort is deeply appreciated. These little inconveniences are not that upsetting. It is just a little different from what we used before.
