My symptoms started Jan 2010. Different ones came and went between Jan and May. Started going to the Primary Doctor in May. June it got painful (tenderness around the ribcage) and admitted myself to the ER the first time. Every test they could think of was ran, except NMO! .....They thought possibly an astrocytoma..... My 5 days of solumedrol (4th of July weekend) lasted me till the end of Aug, when the same symptoms came back worse and new ones arose. They wanted to do another spinal, which kept me in the hospital for 11 days (spinal headaches) the first time. I said, "NO" to that and that is when the neuro-immunologist suggested to test for NMO! I was lucky that my symptoms since have all resolved themselves and even luckier it hadn't effected my eyes!!!
