Q: Do you recommend posting new messages on Devic’s Support on Google?
A: No, we recommend you post all your new discussions, comments, posts, files, photos, etc… in Spectrum. Google is phasing out functionality for Devic’s Support Google group. For this reason, Devic’s Support on Google will go offline on April 4, 2011.
Q: Do I have the option to receive instant and/or daily email updates just like I did in Devic’s Support?
A: Yes.
Q: Am I able to reply to all emails just like Devic’s Support?
A: Yes.
Q: Will I notice a difference in email functionality now that Devic’s Support is on Spectrum?
A: No. The only difference you will see is a different email address appearing in your inbox: Devics-spectrum@guthyjacksonfoundation.org in your inbox. Please make sure messages from this email address do not go to your spam filter.
Q: Will emails and/or replies be posted to Spectrum’s wall just like Devic’s Support?
A: Yes. Just like Devic’s Support, Spectrum is a public website so people who need information about NMO can read about this disease. Posts and comments originating from the list server will be posted for public access on Spectrum. Messages from the email list server will be posted to Spectrum as entries in members' blogs. If we recognize a message as a reply to another member's post in spectrum, we will add it as a comment on the original poster's blog.
Q: Will I receive an email if someone creates or comments on a blog?
A: Yes. Blog posts and comments created in Spectrum will be forwarded to the email list server.
Q: Will Grace still email us and moderate discussions in Spectrum just like she did in Devic’s Support?
A: Yes. Grace has been looking forward to this integration and has a key role in Spectrum.
Q: Can I search Devic’s Support archives in Spectrum?
A: Yes. Just type your query in the search bar at the top of Spectrum’s website.
Q: Can I edit what I post in Spectrum?
A: Yes. By logging in to Spectrum, you as a member can change access rights for your individual blog posts. You can also edit or remove your posts and/or comments.
Q: How do I edit my Spectrum blog?
A: You can access your blog from “My NMO Discussions” under the Home tab drop-down menu.
Q: How do I start a topic/discussion post?
A: You can start or participate in a discussion by emailing to the list server or by posting in Spectrum. Either way, the message will be distributed to the discussion list AND posted in Spectrum.

A: The bookmarklet feature allows you to bookmark any web page, but instead of appearing in your favorites bar in your web browser, it will appear in Spectrum, so all users have quick access to the page you bookmarked.
Q: How do I use the bookmarklet tool?
A: In Spectrum’s “Home” tab drop-down menu, click on “My Bookmarks” then click on “Get bookmarklet.”
